Living in Arendelle
By Kate Teves
Between the government shutdown and the Arctic blast, the whole country feels like it’s living in Queen Elsa’s Arendelle.
And as in Frozen, so as in life: these weeks have ushered in a few phenomenal Kristoffs and Svens.
This week, superintendent Ben Mainka and high school principal Jim Kitchen of Swartz Creek Community Schools cheered us up with their snow day announcement. They took Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” and made it somehow even sweeter, even dreamier than the original. I could listen to this on repeat - cocoa in hand.
Stay snug, everybody.
